At the beginning of the last decade there was no YouTube, Facebook or Twitter, indigenous Australians were still waiting for an apology. We thought maybe the Y2K bug would bring down computer networks. We were at the height of a boom with no bust in sight. Saddam Hussein still held power in Iraq.

A lot can happen quite quickly. In the day-to-day process of life it seems slow. But, governments, populations and communities continue to evolve and change and improve the way we relate, work together and thrive.
